Why This Program?

Most organisations still try to boost motivation with individual solutions: bonuses, perks, training, 1-to-1 coaching…

Yet engagement scores stagnate, and key people quietly disengage or leave.

This training is built on a different conviction:

Motivation is not in people’s heads.

It is an emergent property of the entire work system.

By working on the system – team rituals, collaboration patterns, clarity of purpose, fairness, autonomy, recognition – your managers can:

  • Reduce invisible disengagement and quiet quitting
  • Increase ownership, initiative, and cross-team collaboration
  • Make better use of incentives without creating dependency
  • Build a culture of trust, feedback, and co-responsibility

Business Value for Your Organisation

Higher engagement & retention

Reduce turnover by giving managers tools that support autonomy, trust, and purpose.

Stronger collaborative culture

Improve cross-team cooperation and reduce friction between departments.

Better leadership decisions

Leaders learn to act on observable dynamics, not assumptions or individual psychology.

Predictable performance

Use systemic indicators to anticipate stress, burnout, or team breakdowns.

Who Should Attend?

This in-company programme is designed for organisations that want to build sustainable engagement, not just short-term enthusiasm.

Typical participants include:

  • Line managers & team leaders
  • Project managers & product owners
  • HR & People managers
  • Change agents, Agile coaches, Scrum Masters
  • Department heads involved in transformation or growth

Ideal for teams currently facing:

  • High workload and increasing complexity
  • Hybrid or distributed collaboration
  • Engagement, retention or “quiet quitting” issues
  • Cross-functional projects and transformation programmes

By the end of the 3 modules, your managers will be able to:

  1. Map the real motivators at work using the 4 families of drivers (material, relational, professional, societal).
  2. Distinguish clearly between stimulation, motivation and mobilisation – and act on the right level.
  3. Diagnose the level of mobilisation in their team: Compliance, Commitment or Mission.
  4. Use the SMTP barometer (Satisfaction, Motivation, Trust, Pride) to monitor team climate over time.
  5. Activate the three key individual drivers: autonomy, knowledge, and self-confidence.
  6. Create psychological safety and recognition through simple, robust feedback practices.
  7. Understand and leverage the difference between collaboration (inside the team) and cooperation (between teams).
  8. Design a motivation strategy aligned with your organisational goals, using the 4×3 Systemic Motivation model.

Learning Outcomes

Program Structure:

3 modules

MODULE 1 – Foundations of Systemic Motivation

From individual attitudes to systemic conditions

  • Why traditional motivation models fail in complex organisations
  • The 4 families of motivators at work
(Material needs, Relational needs, Professional expectations, Societal commitment)
  • The difference between Stimulation – Motivation – Mobilisation
  • The three levels of mobilisation: Compliance → Commitment → Mission
  • Engage Yourself® serious game:
    • Each participant maps their personal motivational landscape
    • The group discovers the diversity of drivers inside the team

👉 Outcome: participants stop guessing what motivates people and start reading the system: signals, conditions, and patterns.

MODULE 2 – Emotions, Time & Systemic Levers

The invisible engine of mobilisation

  • The biology of motivation: stress, reward, and temporal dynamics
  • Introduction to SMTP: Satisfaction, Motivation, Trust, Pride
    • How to measure and track them in a simple, operational way
  • The 3 individual drivers: autonomy, knowledge, self-confidence
  • Psychological safety and mental security at work
  • Recognition and feedback:
    • Two types of feedback
    • Practical tools to give feedback that reinforces competence instead of control
  • The importance of timing, rhythm, and momentum in mobilisation

👉 Outcome: participants understand how emotions and time shape behaviour, and how to use SMTP and feedback to stabilise motivation over the long term.

MODULE 3 – Team Dynamics, Leadership & Motivation Strategy

From insights to concrete, long-term impact

  • Team focus: how motivation emerges at team level
  • Collaboration vs. Cooperation:
    • Strengthening collaboration within the team
    • Building cooperation between teams and departments
  • Creativity vs. Innovation: how to create conditions for both
  • Incentives: what they can do, and what they can’t
  • Leadership postures and management by challenge
  • Recognising and dealing with toxic dynamics without labelling people
  • The role of rituals, pace and ceremonies in team identity and stability
  • Applying the 4×3 Systemic Motivation model
    • Individual – Team – Organisation × 4 levels
  • Drafting a Motivation Strategy for your team or organisation

👉 Outcome: each participant leaves with a concrete action plan and a shared language to work on motivation at system level.
